How it works
We begin with something a child can actually feel.
A story. A grandmother's kitchen. A festival. A place they half-remember. An emotion they don't yet have the words for. Children learn the Chinese to talk about that — and then they make something with it.

What makes a place home?
A roof with a pig underneath it. Livestock indoors meant a household that could feed itself — so the character for home is a picture of one. Children remember the story long after they'd have forgotten the stroke order.
